What is DevGob?
DevGob is a multi-tenant platform for the software development lifecycle: it plans the work, and it governs every change on its way to production.
Overview
DevGob brings the two halves of software delivery into one place. On one side are the planning tools a team expects: work items, backlogs, boards, sprints and reports. On the other is a governed path to production: every code release and every change to production data moves through defined phases, with the evidence and the authorizations each phase requires.
Each organization works in its own workspace, reached at its own address. Its users, projects and data belong to that workspace and are never visible from another one.
Workspaces and projects
A workspace holds projects. A project holds its teams, its backlog, its sprints and its changes. Teams plan and track work inside a project; administrators configure the workspace for everyone in it.
- Types, states and the transitions between them are configured per workspace — not fixed by the product.
What you can do with it
- Plan work in a hierarchy that runs from epics down to tasks.
- Run sprints against the capacity each person really has.
- Take code releases to production through two committee authorizations.
- Authorize changes to production data at two separate gates.
- Follow everything in reports rendered by the server.
